Walkers Nonsuch, celebrating 130 Years Of Toffee Making

Rewind back to 1894, Edward Joseph had a tobacconist shop in Stoke on Trent, England. One day, he thought it would
be a good idea to start making toffee for his local customers. Little did he know what he had started – 130 years on,
surviving wars and rations on raw materials, the factory today makes one hundred tonnes of delicious creamy toffee
every week and is still an independent family company.
